History
In my high school days I matured in my choice to become a psychotherapist, years in which I began to understand the fascination of the mechanisms of the mind that in everyday life we ignore and do not have the time and courage to heal. When I was 17, I lived for 6 months in the United Kingdom, attending Chichester College. An experience I treasure not only for the opportunity it gave me to hone my English but, more importantly, for allowing me to begin to understand the world and its diversity.
The years as a university student were years that I remember with positive nostalgia, within which I managed to combine the importance that a university course requires with the equally necessary sincere feeling of friendship that I shared with my closest friends. The University also formed me as a professional, as, in addition to having met valuable mentors, I had the opportunity to participate in several courses, among all: I participated in a course organized at the Department of Civil Defense dedicated to the management of emergencies from natural disasters and I obtained the certification of DSA Tutor.
After graduation, I began my professionalizing internship at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital within the Clinical Psychology Operating Unit. Experience thanks to which I was able to acquire specific skills in the treatment of eating disorders, panic disorders and specific learning disorders. Contextually, in order to consolidate my training in the field of neuropsychology, in 2021 I obtained cum laude a Level II University Master’s degree delving into the physiological mechanisms involved in the functioning of the nervous system.
However, 2021 will remain an important year, especially for the licensing of the profession: in fact, I am registered in Section A of the Order of Psychologists of Lazio (No. 27187).
In 2022, I began training as an integrated Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist for development, adolescence and adulthood and for the treatment of post-traumatic disorders and cognitive and developmental disabilities at the Humanitas University Consortium – Rome branch. To date, in addition to collaborating with the LUMSA University as an Athenaeum tutor for students with ASDs and disabilities – an activity I also carry out privately – I am a resident at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, where I consult at the endocrinology and diabetology service, also dealing with outpatient activity aimed at children with speech and neurodevelopmental disorders.
I have been collaborating with PICANO MEDICAL STUDIO since 2020.
